If you love authentic Mexican food this is the SPOT! The staff is amazing and they have so many wonderful options to choose from. Parking is nice for big trucks even if you have a trailer which is nice for us in the construction field. Give this place try, and thank me later!
Overview
Tacos El Pinolero brings a straightforward dining option to Esplanade in Chico, California, giving local diners and visitors another place to consider when they are in the mood for tacos and a casual meal. Its Chico location at Esplanade, Chico, CA 95928, United States, makes the restaurant part of an active local corridor where convenience can matter just as much as the food itself. For anyone comparing nearby taco spots, the name immediately establishes the restaurantβs focus while keeping the concept simple and approachable.
A restaurant like Tacos El Pinolero is best considered in the context of an everyday meal rather than an elaborate dining occasion. Tacos naturally suit quick lunches, relaxed dinners, and informal stops with friends or family. They also allow diners to build a meal around individual portions, which can be useful when people have different appetites or want to sample more than one option from the menu. Before visiting, checking the restaurantβs current menu is worthwhile, particularly for diners looking for specific fillings, sides, beverages, or dietary choices.
Location is another practical factor. Tacos El Pinolero is listed on Esplanade in Chico, placing it within the city rather than requiring diners to travel outside the area for a taco-focused meal. People searching restaurant locations often weigh accessibility alongside cuisine, especially when deciding where to eat during a workday, while running errands, or on a casual evening out. The Esplanade address therefore provides an important reference point when comparing Tacos El Pinolero with other Mexican restaurants and taco businesses around Chico.
When assessing any taco restaurant, several details deserve attention. Tortilla texture, ingredient freshness, filling-to-tortilla balance, seasoning, sauces, and serving temperature can all shape the experience. Value matters as well, particularly for food that is commonly chosen as a convenient lunch or dinner. Since no verified pricing, portion sizes, specific dishes, service details, or firsthand tasting notes have been supplied here, those aspects should not be assumed. Diners can use the current menu and recent customer reviews to get a clearer picture of what is available before making a visit.
Reviews can be particularly helpful when they describe specific experiences rather than offering only a rating. Comments about ordering, consistency, portion size, popular menu choices, and overall atmosphere provide more useful context for someone deciding whether Tacos El Pinolero matches what they want. At the same time, individual experiences can vary, so looking for recurring observations across several recent reviews generally provides better context than relying on a single opinion.
For diners exploring taco and Mexican food options in Chico, Tacos El Pinolero is a locally situated name to keep in mind. Its Esplanade location makes it relevant for people searching within Chico, while its taco-centered identity gives diners a clear starting point when deciding whether the restaurant fits a casual lunch, dinner, or quick food stop.

I love this place and that is why I am sad to write this review. I go here very often as it is down the street from my home. I understand the change in prices as the world is changing and things are getting expensive, however the last few times I paid for extra salsa etc. I have not received it. And two times prior I wasn't given the option to leave a tip. But a tip was added. I let it go too many times not to say anything. There are some workers who are great here but the others will ruin it if they continue to short change their customers.
Had not enjoyed their food in years. Dropped by during a road trip. Again, did not disappoint. Tacos del lengua hit the spot. Yes, a great food truck with tables on premises. Highly recommend!
What's up in Chico with all the taco trucks acting like they have to get into the vault for extra salsa. "We already put salsa on the tacos". I want more salsa to cover the bland taste of the food you're slinging. Oh, and try and be a friendlier. That's why the taco truck down the street is busier.
My second favorite burrito truck of all time. The carnitas is where itβs at and they are usually very fast. The burrito has a great salsa that develops well in the mouth and Iβm very happy they donβt over use beans and rice.
I wish we could spruce up the patio a bit. But other than that great little station
